Letters for Visas
If you or your friends/ family need a visa to come to the UK to attend graduation, then the Graduation and Awards team can provide a letter to assist the graduand’s application for a visitor visa. Please note that the University cannot sponsor your visa, you will need to apply for it yourself.

BPP provide letters to graduands once they have booked their place at a ceremony.
A visa for you
The Graduation and Awards Team can provide letters to graduands confirming following details:
- That the graduand studied with the University and successfully completed their course (or achieved enough credits to graduate with an exit award)
- Their completion date.
- That they have booked a place at a ceremony
- The date of the ceremony
Please note that letters can only been issued after you have successfully completed your course and booked a place at a ceremony.
We also recommend you use your Eventbrite booking confirmation as proof in your application.
How to request a visa letter from BPP
When booking your place, you will be asked if you require a visa letter. If you select ‘yes’, a letter will be generated and sent to the email you entered when booking. If you do not request a letter at the time of booking, then later decide that you do require one, please email GraduationCeremonies@bpp.com
We aim to provide your letter within 4 working days of your request.
A visa for friends and family
BPP University cannot issue any documentation in support of your family or friends' application for a visitor visa to attend your graduation, as we will not be the sponsor of your family's visit.
If you wish to invite any guests travelling from overseas to attend your graduation, you should write the invitation letter yourself and include the letter from BPP in support of your guests' visa application.
- The template for writing the invitation letter yourself can be found here. You will need to provide this letter, along with your graduand visa letter when applying for a visitor visa.
- We also recommend you use your Eventbrite guest ticket order confirmation as proof in your application.
- Finally, you can also provide a copy of your BPP student status letter.
- To obtain this letter, please raise a case on the Hub (select letter requests and then I would like to request a Bank, Status or Council Tax letter).
