-
Budgeting and Planning Mini Guide: A practical guide for university students to manage finances, track expenses, set savings goals, and plan for financial stability during your studies.
With these helpful resources, we aim to empower students to take control of their financial futures and make smarter, more confident decisions.
Budgeting and Money Management
As a student, budgeting and managing your money should be a priority, so that you stay aware of your finances, reduce your financial stress, build healthy habits, and are prepared for any emergency or circumstance which may arise.
See our Budgeting and Planning Guide for all our best tips, tricks and information on budgeting and managing your money. To accompany this guide, we have also created a Monthly Budget Printable Tracker to help you to start to do your own budget tracking.
There are also so many helpful resources out there which are tailor-made to help students to spend less, budget more, and build healthy money habits. These are just a few of our favourites:
Financial Hardship
If you are facing serious financial hardship, BPP Students’ Association has a Crisis Fund which is a limited source of financial support for students who require short-term emergency support for food costs. You can find out more by visiting the Crisis Fund page on the Students’ Association Website.
Before you apply for the Crisis Fund, we highly encourage you to read the Crisis Fund User's Guide . This useful resource will walk you through each step of the process and help you create a strong, thorough application. We're here to support you every step of the way!
Additional support for financial hardship can be found from many places. Below are the links to some helpful resources you may consider if facing financial difficulty:
Scams & Financial Crime
Action Fraud is the UK’s national reporting centre for fraud and cyber crime where you should report fraud if you have been scammed, defrauded or experienced cyber crime.
If you require support if you are the victim of a crime, you can access support through BPP (see our Get Help Now page), or through organisations such as Victim Support, an independent charity dedicated to supporting victims of crime.
