Cyber Security Awareness Month

Each October, cyber security professionals from across the globe come together to celebrate Cyber Security Awareness Month. It is an annual international campaign to raise awareness of maintaining and improving cyber security. This year, the theme is “Secure Our World”; this is particularly relevant for BPP Education Group.

As a global education provider, BPP Education Group works to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our networks, systems, and data. We do this so that we can continue to deliver an excellent service to all students, so that you can focus on building your career through your education. We do this by:

  • Monitoring our systems for threats, viruses, and misuse.

  • Making sure your accounts are secure, using multifactor authentication and strong passwords.

  • Securing our centres from unauthorised access.

As students and learners, you play a big role in helping us maintain our information security. This Cyber Awareness Month, please remind yourself of the following important points:

  • Use strong passwords and set up multifactor authentication on your work, university, and personal accounts.

  • Don’t click on suspicious links or attachments in emails or messages.

  • Always wear your lanyard when in centre, and make sure strangers do not follow you through doors.

If you would like to report anything suspicious, please contact the IT Service Desk.

Thank you for staying vigilant!
