Pride Month 2026

Pride Month: Celebrating Community, History and Inclusion 🌈

Every June, people around the world celebrate Pride Month. A time to support and celebrate LGBTQ+ communities, identities and history.

Pride began following the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in New York, a key moment in the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement. Today, Pride is celebrated through parades, festivals, performances, education and community events across the UK and around the world.

Pride Across the UK

Pride events take place throughout the UK every year, bringing communities together to celebrate inclusion, equality and diversity. Major Pride celebrations are held in cities including London, Brighton, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Bristol and Leeds, alongside many smaller local events and community festivals.
