Extensions
You should apply for an extension when you think there are good reasons for getting an extension to the deadline for handing in an assessment Good reasons may include illness or other circumstances which may stop you from being able to complete your work by the set deadline.
If you are looking to receive an extension for your coursework, this would need to be approved by your School. The School, has the choice to give you an extension of one calendar week (7 days) to the assessment date. There may also be circumstances where the School may decide that a two-week extension is more appropriate given your circumstances, but this may only happen under exceptional circumstances, at the School’s choice, and were the internal scheduling of marking, feedback and examination board deadlines allow this. Once your extension is confirmed, your School will confirm the approved extension period you have received via email to your BPP account.
You have until midday (12pm) on the working day before your first assessment to submit your completed Extension Request Form.

- If you are unable to access the Hub, you can access the form here.

- Your case will then be reviewed by the School.
- You will receive an outcome via your BPP email account. The School aims to provide a decision by 5:30pm on the day before your assessment.
- If approved, the School will confirm the length of the extension granted and your new submission deadline.
