Information on digital assessments
Inspera is the online assessment platform we use for some of our assessments. This page will provide you with the information and guidance you need to use Inspera.

Proctored Assessments:

To ensure that assessments are carried out in exam conditions, the Inspera software will record the screen, webcam and microphone of your device throughout the assessment. This recording will then be reviewed by an invigilator and any potential misconduct will be reported to the Programme Team. If you are due to sit a proctored assessment please follow the below steps:

1. Download the Inspera Integrity Browser (IIB).

Please note your computer will need to comply the with minimum spec listed on the Bring your own Device Policy.

2. Read the ‘Proctored Inspera Guide’ relevant to your course:

SQE and LCC Proctored Inspera Guide - Summative Assessments

LPC / Business School (remote) and Nursing Proctored Inspera Guide - Summative Assessments

3. Test the software on your computer

Approximately 2 weeks prior to your summative assessment a demo assessment with a name containing “Test your System” will be available on your account. Launch the IIB and access this assessment to trial the exam environment and confirm your device's compatibility with the IIB software.

4. Get the help you need

Please see the troubleshooting guide here. If you are having difficulties that you’re not able to solve by reading the above guides please contact: Inspera@bpp.com

Non-proctored Assessments:

All non-proctored assessments (this includes all formatives) take place on the Inspera online browser and cannot be taken via the downloaded Inspera Integrity Browser. If you are due to take a non-proctored assessment please follow the below steps:

3. Check your upcoming exams are showing on your Inspera dashboard

If these are not showing 48hrs before the exam, please contact Inspera@bpp.com including your SRN and which exam you are due to sit

Support During an Exam:

If you need assistance during an exam please email BPP’s Digital Assessment team Inspera@bpp.com. In your email please include your SRN, as much information as you can about the issue and screen shots (where possible) so the team can help resolve your issue as quickly as possible.

Please do not phone the Assessment Office, as they will not be able to offer technical support during an assessment. Our dedicated digital assessment team offers quick support via email.

If you have been logged out during your exam then please log back in as quickly as possible using invigilator code: ab1234

Academic Malpractice:

Please review the Academic Malpractice guidelines and ensure you comply with these during your assessments to avoid any Academic Malpractice proceedings.
