14 May 2026 - 12:00 - 13:00 Arrival - Business School (MSc Management); PgCert in Learning and Teaching

Arrive any time within your arrival window. If you want extra time for gowning, photography (and the pre-ceremony reception), aim for the start; if you’re skipping the reception, arrive no later than the end of the registration window, to have enough time to complete registration, gowning and photography before the ceremony hall doors open.

We expect the event to finish at 15:00.

1) Registration — 12:00 - 13:00 - Location: Wesley Suite (Basement)

Have your Eventbrite ticket QR ready. Collect your wristband and allocated seat number.

Guests register at the guest registration desk with their own tickets to receive wristbands.

If you have specified an accessibility requirement, you can speak to the designated Accessibility Lead if you have questions or concerns before your ceremony.

4) Pre-ceremony reception — 12:00 - 13:30 - Location: Lecture Hall Library (Level 1)

Enjoy a pre-ceremony refreshment with family & supporters and grab your own snaps in full gown.

Explore Student Association and Careers stalls.

You’re welcome to step outside—please be back when doors open (13:15 - 13:30).

5) Ceremony — Doors open 13:15 - 13:30; finish approx. 15:00 - Location: The Great Hall

🚨 Important: Once the ceremony has started, please do not leave early.

For the dignity of the occasion and out of respect to all graduands and faculty, everyone must remain seated until the ceremony has completely finished.

Early departure disrupts the ceremony. If you need to leave in an emergency, please speak to a steward.

During the ceremony:

Graduands: sit in your allocated seat; stewards will cue your row for the stage queue when it’s your turn.

Guests: unallocated seating on Level 4—arrive early for preferred seats.

Celebrate respectfully: Cheer for everyone crossing the stage (extra loud for your own is encouraged!).

Etiquette: No phone/video calls; avoid conversations; remove earphones and chewing gum.

Inclusive & non-political: Please do not display flags or signs, or make statements that could offend or intimidate others.

6) Event finish and venue closure — 15:00

Return your gown, hood & mortar board promptly to the gown returns desk.

Follow steward directions to exit the venue.
