LGBT Society +

TBeing an LGBT+ person often makes one feel marginalised and on the side-lines of social occasions and every day life events.  This social exclusion is particularly felt in professions like the law, which are dominated by a belief in traditional and conventional values.  University is a fantastic opportunity to meet people from a range of different backgrounds, but also to find people who we can identify with and foster a sense of solidarity.  Such a sense of community has been shown to improve performance, as well as promoting mental wellbeing by creating support networks and signposting to medical and social assistance.
